- Description
- This product is a pair of rare wall lights, model number 1452, designed by Flavio Poli and dated to circa 1957. The lights are made from incalmo and corroso glass and each measures approximately 25 x 17 cm (9 7/8 x 6 3/4 in.). The wall lights are an example of post-war Murano lighting design and demonstrate the use of advanced glassmaking techniques associated with Seguso Vetri d’Arte during the 1950s. Surviving lighting designs by Poli are relatively uncommon, and documented examples are of interest to collectors of twentieth-century Italian decorative arts. The pair is currently located in Italy and is intended for import into the United Kingdom.
