- Unmounted optical components consisting of precision‑manufactured lenses, windows, optical designed for use in thermal imaging and infrared (IR) systems. These components are typically produced from infrared‑transmitting materials (such as germanium, silicon, zinc selenide or similar compounds) to operate within specific infrared wavelength ranges. The items are supplied in unmounted form (i.e. not fitted into housings or assemblies) and are intended for integration into imaging devices, sensors, or optical systems used for temperature measurement, industrial monitoring, surveillance, or scientific applications. - Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
