- Description
- Pair of wall-mounted electric light fittings, model no. 551, made circa 1936 by Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Murano, Italy. The lights are made from pulegoso lattimo glass, coloured glass and brass, and measure approximately 42 × 28 × 12 cm each. They were produced for the Hotel Concordia in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, and are documented in the Seguso Vetri d’Arte archive. The items are designed to be fixed to a wall and used as interior lighting. They are decorative glass lighting fixtures of early twentieth-century Murano manufacture, with an estimated value of £4,000–£6,000.
