- Description
- A portable, battery-powered electronic device worn by personnel or mounted on vehicles and plant, used to determine the wearer's precise position and to provide real-time safety alerts on work sites (for example construction and rail environments). The device comprises, within a single impact-resistant housing: a multi-constellation GNSS (satellite navigation) receiver with Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) correction capability, enabling positional accuracy to centimetre level (compared with 1–5m for standard GPS); a cellular modem with roaming SIM, which transmits the device's position data to a cloud-based software platform and receives RTK correction data and virtual geofence (exclusion zone) definitions over the mobile network; integrated alerting outputs: an audible siren, a visual strobe and haptic (vibration) feedback, which activate when the device enters a defined exclusion zone or approaches a hazard; a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The device operates as part of a geofencing system: positions are computed on the device using satellite signals and RTK corrections, transmitted to the platform over the cellular network, and compared against virtual zones; alerts are delivered both locally on the device and to remote supervisors via the platform. Supplied in bulk with a charger option. Options include: - Pelicase 12 dock charger - 12 dock charger tray - USB-C charging cable Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
