Description
Concentrated Monk fruit juice. This is derived from the fresh fruit of Siraitia Grosvenorii Monk fruit. Whole Monk fruits are crushed and boiled/steeped in water to extract natural juices, then the liquid is filtered to remove seeds and skins. The product is used as a natural food ingredient and high-intensity sweetener in the industrial food and beverage sector. The juice is packaged in food-grade aseptic bulk containers weighing 25kg/200kg.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect : a. Part Two (Goods Classification Table Rules of Interpretation) of the Tariff of the United Kingdom (Reg 3(1)(a)); and b. Notes to a section or chapter of the Goods Classification Table (Reg 3(1)(b)) General Interpretative Rules (GIR)s: GIR 1 - Has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 2009: Fruit or nut juices (including grape must and coconut water) and vegetable juices, unfermented and not containing added spirit, whether or not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter. GIR 5b - Has been used to identify the packaging. GIR 6 - Has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 200989: Juice of any other single fruit, nut or vegetable; of a brix value exceeding 67;other than pear juice; of a value not exceeding 25.00 gbp per 100 kg net weight. 8 Digit Code 20098935:Other than Juices of tropical fruit; other than apricot juice; other than blueberry juice; other than powdered. 10 Digit Code 2009893579: Other than with an added sugar content not exceeding 30% by weight.
