- Description
- An automatic vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) for a locomotive’s 25 kV electrical system. The device connects and disconnects the locomotive from the overhead supply and protects the traction system by tripping and interrupting the circuit following an electrical fault, such as overcurrent. It has a rated voltage of 25 kV and a short-circuit breaking capacity of 25 kA.

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect : a. GIR 6 - Has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 853521 - Automatic circuit breakers for a voltage of less than 72.5kv. 10 - digit code 8535210090 - other than for use in certain types of aircraft. Also classified in accordance with: Harmonized System Explanatory Note (HSENs) to 8535 (A)
