- Description
- A centrifugal blower assembly designed to provide high-volume cooling airflow to four locomotive traction motors during traction and rheostatic braking. The assembly comprises a casing, inlet and outlet cowling, centrifugal fan impeller and hydrostatic motor. The motor has a keyed shaft onto which the fan impeller is mounted, providing direct mechanical drive to the impeller.
