Set up a Simple Assessment payment plan
You can use this service to pay overdue payments in instalments.
You are eligible to set up an online payment plan if:
- you owe £50,000 or less
- you do not have any other debts with HMRC
- you do not have any payment plans with HMRC
You can choose to pay:
- part of the payment upfront and part in monthly instalments
- monthly instalments only

Before you start
You must be:
- a named account holder for the UK bank account you intend to use
- able to authorise a Direct Debit
You must keep up to date with your payments. HMRC may ask you to pay the total outstanding amount if you do not. HMRC intend this as a one off payment plan to give you extra support.
