- Description
- Optical smoke detector with integral sounder, utilises the light scatter sensing principle: utilising a light emitting diode (LED) & a photo-diode within its sensing chamber. When smoke enters the chamber, the photo-diode senses increased levels of infra-red light scattered by the smoke particles; the detector then goes into alarm mode. compatible with a number of detector mountings bases from this brand. It cannot be used on a stand alone basis as part of an analogue fire alarm control system. It activates when smoke enters the sensing chamber, then the photo diode senses increased infra-red light scattered by the smoke particles. The detector then sends a signal to its fire alarm control panel. More commonly despatched within larger cardboard boxes containing 10 or 100 units.
