Description
An analogue-addressable heat detector that utilises a thermistor of low thermal mass as their sensing element. It comprises a polycarbonate (ABS type) plastic casing containing a populated printed circuit board (PCB) with the thermistor sensing element and holder attached. It also contains metal screws, fasteners and connectors (terminals) plus an additional externally visible OmniView light-emitting diode (LED), which is also connected to the PCB. This detector and its variants cannot be used as stand-alone heat alarms: they must only be used as part of a Nittan Evolution protocol fire alarm control system and must only be connected via a suitable detector mounting base. The externally visible Omni View 360-degree LED serves only to indicate when the detector is being queried by its control panel or is in alarm mode; it isn't intended as a visual warning of fire to any persons nearby - the fire alarm system control panel to which it is linked triggers any warnings or other operations as necessary. This externally visible LED plays no part in the heat sensing function of this product. These products are imported specifically for Nittan Europe Limited and cannot be resold as an "off the shelf" product in general stores nor by any non-specialist outlet. This product does not have an integral sounder or recording device & contains no audio-visual warning equipment. While it can be sold singly in its own small cardboard box, it will more commonly be despatched in larger cardboard boxes containing 10 or 100 units.
