Description
An analogue-addressable heat detector, incorporating short circuit isolation protection plus a range of heat detection modes. It utilises a thermistor of low thermal mass as its sensing element. This product and its variants cannot be used as stand-alone heat detectors: they must only be used as part of a Nittan Evolution protocol fire alarm control system & must only be connected using a suitable detector mounting base. This product comprises a polycarbonate (ABS type) plastic casing containing metal fasteners, screws and connectors plus a populated printed circuit board (PCB) with the thermistor sensing element attached plus an externally visible light-emitting diode (LED) attached (also connected to the PCB). This product offers a range of heat detection modes (A1R, A2S, BS & CS types), which are selectable by the fire alarm system control panel. The short circuit isolator feature of the EV-H2-SCI is intended only to isolate this device from the rest of its network in the event of a fault - it is not intended as a protective safety feature. The isolator will self-reset when the fault clears. The externally visible OmniView 360-degree LED fitted serves only to indicate when the detector is being queried by its fire alarm control system or is in alarm mode: it isn't intended as a visual warning of fire to any persons nearby and plays no part in the sensing function of this detector. No physical or chemical analysis is carried out by this product. This product is imported specifically for Nittan Europe Limited and cannot be resold as an "off the shelf" product in general stores nor by any non-specialist outlet. This product does not have an integral sounder or recording device and contains no audio-visual warning equipment. While it can be sold singly in its own small cardboard box, it will more commonly be despatched in larger cardboard boxes containing 10 or 100 units.
