- Description
- An item of diagnostic equipment designed to record measurements such as speed, position, pitch and roll movements of vehicles on land, sea and air. It is not permanently installed but is placed inside the vehicle to record its measurements during travel. It uses a combination of GPS signals, various sensors and internal components to generate data which is then transferred to an automatic data processing machine such as a laptop where it can be viewed in real time. The system itself comprises an assembly of electronic components that are populated onto printed circuit boards and these are assembled into an aluminium enclosure that has cable connectors to power and access the internal components.
