- Description
- The product is a safety control valve made of carbon-steel designed for the marine off-shore environment. The product is a marine safety pollution control valve to minimise offshore hose transfer system oil spills due to tanker breakout or internal pressure surge incidents, eliminating pressure drop during product transfer or the necessity to increase power at the pumps to maintain original design flow rate and with improved buoyancy and easier handling. The valve is suitable for use with crude oil, heavy fuel oil and other high viscosity products. The valve provides an identified safe parting point in marine hose transfer systems and automatically shuts off product flow in the event of an undue overload during tanker loading or discharging, or an extreme pressure surge generated by the sudden, inadvertent closure of a valve downstream during tanker loading. It fits between standard flanges at any recommended location in hose assembly. The valve is a mechanically activated and self-contained and operates from a damaging system overload. It is machined, manufactured, it is packed in ISPM conforming wooden boxes for international shipping. The coupling is full bore ensuring uninterrupted flow and zero pressure loss. Dimensions Sizes: 3″ to 24″ nominal bore.
