- Description
- Fibre Optic Cleavers with an ultrasonic cleaving technology to produce flat, defect-free fibre end-faces. The FK11 is designed for cleaving standard telecom fibres in preparation for fusion splicing and fibre testing. It is made from plastic with some metal parts. It tensions fibre prior to cleaving which prevents damage to end face, and has a low end angle for low loss splicing, and adjustable cleave angle from 0º to 15º for optimal end reflection. The FK12 has a long-life durable diamond blade which provides extended use variants for cleaving a variety of fibre diameters, and can penetrate through fibre coatings. They are packed in cardboard boxes.
