Description
An end cap used for motor vehicle lighting, with two power cables potted/sealed where they pass through the plastic cap. One cable is covered in red insulation and the other in black. The end cap slots into a section of anodized aluminium profile, and it supplies 10-32V DC power via the cables to an LED driver board. Both ends of the cables are left bare and do not have connectors attached. The end cap is held in place with 1 screw. It's measurements are approximately 82 x 50 x 38mm. The end cap piece is marked with >PC< for material identification and has 1 fixing hole and 1 mounting hole. The end caps are supplied in clear press locked bags, 50 per bag, and 4 of such bags are packaged in a corrugated cardboard box (total 200 per box).

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: - General Interpretative Rules (GIR)s: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a. Part Two (Goods Classification Table Rules of Interpretation) of the Tariff of the United Kingdom (Reg 3(1)(a)); and b. Notes to a section or chapter of the Goods Classification Table (Reg 3(1)(b)). GIR 1 - has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 8544 - Insulated (including enamelled or anodised) wire, cable (including coaxial cable) and other insulated electric conductors, whether or not fitted with connectors; optical fibre cables, made up of individually sheathed fibres, whether or not assembled with electric conductors or fitted with connectors. GIR 5 (b) - Has been used to identify the type of packaging - the end caps with wires are supplied in clear press locked bags, 50 per bag, and 4 of such bags are packaged in a corrugated cardboard box. GIR 6 - has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 854430 - Ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships. 10 digit code 8544300089 - Other than elsewhere specified within this heading.
