- Description
- A high sensitivity walk-through radiation monitor for screening pedestrians at locations such as airports, borders, ports, critical infrastructure, and nuclear facilities. It works by continuously measuring background radiation counts, and automatically switching to inspection mode when the occupancy sensors detect a person approaching the monitor. People are screened for gamma radiation and more optionally, neutron radiation as they walk between the two pillars that house the radiation detectors, controller, and occupancy sensors. If the count exceeds the alarm level, audible and visual alarms are triggered. A light also indicates a tamper or fault condition.
