- Description
- ABS Sensor Cap The sensor cap is used in hub unit bearing. One side of the hub unit is attached to the axle, the other to the wheel. The sensor cap is fitted to the top of the unit and sends measurements to the ABS braking system on the vehicle. The ABS sensor cap is an electromagnetic sensor which detects the speed of rotation of a multi-poled magnetic ring which is within the unit. The amplitude of the magnetic waveform from this ring then feeds this information to the vehicles electronic control system to enable the function of the anti lock braking system. The sensor uses the hall effect. The sensor is made from plastic and has connectors.
