Description
The Béa applicator is an intracervical insemination device intended to be used at home that aids conception by allowing the user to release a cervical cap containing semen at or near the cervix. The product is a Class 1 medical device made from ABS plastic, silicone rubber and polyester thread and does not contain any electrical components.. The ABS plastic is made from injection molding in a 10K clean room, the silicone rubber is made from compression molding and then cleaned with alcohol before entering a 10K clean room for the entire assembly. The Béa applicator works by a) removing the orange funnel, b) inserting the device into the cervical canal, c) twisting the bottom handle 360 degrees (this pushes up a platform in the device that deploys the cap at or near the cervix) and d) removing the applicator and waiting up to 1 hour before removing the cervical cap. The Béa applicator is individually packaged in APET and sealed with Tyvek with a cardboard sleeve on top.
