- The product is a diaphragm pump. Comprising a brushless electric motor and pumping mechanism within housing fitted into a negative pressure wound therapy system It functions by applying negative pressure on the wound to draw out body fluids and hazardous materials to aid the healing process It is powered by a 12-24v DC power supply and consumes between 4 and 7 watts
