- Description
- A toothed belt. This is a component of an Echo Sounder, which is a general-purpose sounding set, for shallow and deep water fitted to both surface and submarine vessels. The belt is used to control the stylus, which marks the recording paper. As the Echo Sounder receives information, the belt moves the stylus up and down to reflect the incoming data. The belt is made of rubber and steel.
