- Description
- A head kit for testing smoke detectors, Consisting of the head unit and fixings. The head unit is mounted alongside the ASD pipe using the fixings provided. It is connected to and powered by the control panel. When a test starts a small amount of oil in the head unit is warmed up enough to produce smoke. The oil is held in a small reservoir into which a hollow tube is inserted. The tube is warmed up using an electric coil powered through the controller. As the metal tube heats up a tiny amount of oil is drawn up inside the tube in turn getting heated up and turns to smoke. A fan is used to blow the smoke out, into the ASD pipe. The head unit is made from abs plastic and the fixing from mild steel metal. Dimensions:Product size(s) 28 x 12 x 7cm.
