- Description
- A Strut Mounting bar for test vehicles. The mounting system fits between the floor and the roof of the car. The strut poles and legs are made from powder coated aluminium, other parts are made from glass filled nylon plastic, the mounting clamps and retaining clamps are made from Acetal and anodised aluminium. The strut has extension legs so that it can straddle a car’s transmission tunnel or be fitted to a flat floor as found in EV’s. The strut is designed to extend from the car floor to ceiling, so providing a firm stable point, to which the unit is then clamped to. For extra support if the vehicle is being aggressively tested there are ratchet straps to further anchor the strut in place which connect to the car’s ISOFIX points. A built-in spring provides the necessary force required to keep the system in place. Fitting is simply a matter pulling a lever. The companies GNSS products measure the slightest movement with great accuracy. The mounting system provides a rigid mount in every axis, to allow you to measure the movement of the vehicle – not movement of the product. The product weighs 3.7 kg. The height is from 0.8 m to 2.4 m.
