- Description
- A Suspension System used in the construction industry. Made of a zinc wire joiner and tensioning device together with a length of steel wire rope of either 1.5 or 2mm diameter cut to length and a toggle end fixing attached in-house using specially designed machines to one end. It is designed for the fast installation of a variety of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, lighting and acoustic suspensions from ceilings, walls, or existing suspended building services. It has load ratings of up to 45 kg with a 5:1 safety factor. The system is used for installation of the applications detailed above. It can be installed up to 6 times faster than traditional hanging systems such as threaded rod or chain because of the design of the unique zinc fastener . It is the unique locking feature of the fastener that brings the system together, and removes the need for laborious tasks on site such as cutting, filing, or welding on site. The position can be adjusted quickly and easily without the use of a setting key to release the locking mechanism, allowing the user to adjust the height of the installation with ease. There are four components to the Gripple Hang-Fast Express with Toggle End Fixing System: 1) Gripple fastener, made from zinc – the zinc ingot is bought and then die cast in house 2) Steel wire rope (of 1.5 or 2mm diameter) is bought in on large reels and then cut, fused and processed in-house 3) Toggle Plate which is produced in house on specially designed machines 4) Toggle end stop which is crimped onto the end of the wire and is used to hold the toggle plate in place It is designed to allow for quicker installation on site, and has wire of specific diameters fed through it, which, when used in conjunction with the correct end-fixing, allows the user to suspend a variety of applications from the ceiling, roof, wall or from existing suspended building services. The unique safety locking mechanism holds the wire in place and prevents the wire from coming back out. It can be adjusted quickly and easily without the need of a release key through it's unique design, allowing the user to adjust the height of the installation with ease. The toggle end fixing is used when suspending through profile roof cladding, light fittings and other cavities. The toggle plate is fed through the cavity and the wire then hangs from the roof/light, the wire then feeds through one side of the zinc Gripple Hang-Fast Express fastener, through or round the object to be suspended and then back through. The Gripple Hang-Fast Express with Toggle End Fixing system is sold as a kit, and is generally bagged up in 10’s. A set of 10 would go into a Gripple printed bag, and into Gripple logo outer cartons.
