Description
The product is used to support the testing and integration of a sonar system. It is not a functioning sonar sensor but simulates the power and data interfaces to allow for testing and development. the array technology evaluation kit (atek) atek includes a full suite of actual components including hydrophone, pre-amplifier, µnas & µdass for evaluation, assessment, integration and testing purposes. The kit is used for the test and integration of customer's systems that will be using the sea system. It provides a fully representative hardware solution that simulates the array system to allow for testing activities to occur without having to use the actual array. The product contains a hydrophone (essentially an underwater microphone) and digitisation electronics. The digitisation electronics convert the analogue signals from the hydrophone into a digital data stream, which is presented the user over an ethernet interface. The kit is made of a number of materials. the housing is plastic, the base plate to which components are attached is aluminium and there are a number of electronic assemblies, which include printed circuit boards and plastic housings. The hydrophone contains pzt piezo ceramic. The product is packaged within a protective transportation (peli) case. It is not for retail sale but is sold to specific customers who have also purchased the array system. The product is then packaged within a protective transportation case.
