- Description
- PPE is a drug product intermediate molecule which acts as a non-viral vector used to transport non-toxic cargo into an effected cell when the cargo becomes toxic and activates the body’s anti-viral system PPE consists of three parts: a) a poly-cationic linear polymer called linear polyethylene imine b) a bifunctional PEG (polyethylene glycol) with two functional groups on either end to couple to both the linear polyethylene imine (item a)) and the peptide (item c)). c) a naturally occurring peptide Packaging - 10ml sterile glass vial, transport is frozen at -78°C

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a. General Interpretative Rules (GIR)s GIR 1 has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 3002 - Human blood; animal blood prepared for therapeutic, prophylactic or diagnostic uses; antisera, other blood fractions and immunological products, whether or not modified or obtained by means of biotechnological processes; vaccines, toxins, cultures of micro-organisms (excluding yeasts) and similar products; cell cultures, whether or not modified GIR 5b has been used to identify the type of packaging – 10ml glass vial, transport is frozen at -78°C GIR 6 has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 300213 – Antisera, other blood fractions and immunological products, whether or not modified or obtained by means of biotechnological processes; Immunological products, unmixed, not put up in measured doses or in forms or packings for retail sale Also classified in accordance with: Chapter 32 subheading note 1 HSEN to 3002
