Description
Aluminium Alloy (Intermed.) Centre Pillar 508mm – 708mm CTR7A 400mm / 600mm application is as a part used in the assembly of a Lightweight Drop-side Trailer. Product Numbers & Specifications as supplied Aluminium Centre Pillar CTR7A-400 / Aluminium Centre Pillar CTR7A-600: Aluminium Alloy Grade 6005A: 6005A aluminium alloy is an alloy in the wrought aluminium-magnesium-silicon family. 6005A is more heavily alloyed, but the difference does not make a marked impact on material properties. It can be formed by extrusion, forging or rolling, but as a wrought alloy it is not used in casting. It cannot be work hardened but is commonly heat treated to produce tempers with a higher strength at the expense of ductility.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a. Notes to a section or chapter of the Goods Classification Table (Reg 3(1)(b)) General interpretative rules (GIR)s: GIR 1 has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 7604: Aluminium bars, rods and profiles GIR 6 has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 760421: Of aluminium alloys; Hollow profiles 10 Digit code 7604210090: Other than hollow profile with: -one closed chamber of aluminium alloy 6063-t5 or 6060-t5, -a wall thickness of not more than 0.7 mm, and -an anodised layer of 10 µm at the surface, for use in the manufacture of board frames of whiteboards, cork boards, easel boards, education boards and display cases.
