Description
The product is an HDL-Cholesterol Calibrator, which is a lyophilised human serum calibrator. It contains 26.7% Human Serum. The HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol is used to accurately calibrate a laboratory instrument. By measuring the HDL levels in a blood sample, ensuring the results are precise and reliable, by providing a reference point against. The test readings are compared; essentially acting as a standard to check the accuracy of the HDL test on a machine. Function: For an HDL test, a small amount of calibrator solution is analysed by the machine first, allowing the instrument to adjust its readings based on the known HDL concentration of the calibrator, ensuring accurate results for patient samples. Preparation: HDL calibrators are usually supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder that needs to be reconstituted with a specific volume of distilled water before use. The HDL calibrators are used as a quality control measure in clinical laboratories. The product is packaged in a 3ml glass vial in a pack of 3 or 100, stored in a cardboard box.

Justification
