Description
Bloom43 is a wearable medical device used to pre-condition the skin of patients’ breasts using gentle heat prior to their breast surgery in order to reduce the risk of wound healing complications. The device is designed to be worn next to the skin in the hours leading up to surgery allowing the patient to supraphysiologically precondition their skin and reduce the risk of wound complications such as infection and skin necrosis. By gently warming the skin, Bloom43 causes the release of Heat Shock Proteins. HSP-32 triggers the natural release of carbon monoxide into the surrounding tissue, making blood vessels open up and increasing blood flow to the area which in turn helps the healing. This can be performed at home by the patient the night before their breast surgery. The Bloom43 is made from electronic boards and low heating power technology (109.4°F), body safe plastics and silicones ( PC/ABS LUPOY GN5001RFG / Elastostil R401) , USB cables and plugs. The product is packaged in a specially designed hard case to protect it during transport.
