- Description
- A metal detector designed for use in the production of edible substances such as food or pharmaceutical products. It is presented as a standalone unit but can be attached directly to other machinery. It works by monitoring substances that pass through it. An example of use is where it would be fitted to a conveyor belt on a food production line. Within the detector machinery an electromagnetic frequency is generated. As the food moves along the conveyor belt it passes though the detector. Any metal contaminants present will disturb the field and trigger a warning, alerting the operator that metal is present in the products. The detectors are packaged in a cardboard or wooden carton with foam padding for protection.
