Description
The product is a self-adhesive moisture-retention pad supplied in reel format for automated application. Each pad is made primarily from a polyolefin nonwoven textile material (polypropylene/polyethylene blend). The nonwoven has a thickness of approximately 1.5 mm and a basis weight exceeding 150 g/m². The nonwoven textile provides the functional performance of the product. Its fibrous structure absorbs, retains, and gradually releases moisture through capillary action, maintaining humidity within sealed tobacco containers and preventing the contents from drying out. A rubber-free, plastics-based hot-melt transfer adhesive is applied to one side of the pad solely to allow attachment to a polypropylene container lid. The adhesive has no moisture-retention function and is protected by a release liner. The material is die-cut into circular pads, typically 25 mm in diameter, and supplied on a continuous release liner wound into reels (approximately 30 mm wide, with a maximum reel diameter of 300 mm). The reels are intended for automated application during the customer’s packaging process. They are packaged in cardboard boxes.
