- Description
- The product is a directional coupler for RF (Radio Frequency) signal processing to sample, monitor or distribute signals without affecting the main signal path. It is used to sample and monitor signals in microwave and communication systems. It operates by dividing an input signal between two or more output ports according to a fixed coupling ratio whilst providing isolation between the coupled and main ports to allow measurement, analysis, or feedback in communication and test systems. It enables accurate measurement of forward and reflected power with minimal impact on the main signal path for testing, monitoring, and signal processing applications. It is a passive device which functions in reverse, detecting signals travelling in the opposite direction while maintaining their coupling characteristics. It delivers a high directivity of 33 dB and operates over a broad frequency range of 50 MHz to 6 GHz and maintains coupling flatness of ±0.3 dB. The directional coupler is a component which acts as a part for larger, more complex systems or devices. The design and operation are not specific to any particular device but incorporated into equipment across telecommunications, test and measurement applications. Therefore, the characteristics of the product does not restrict it to a single type of appliance or category of equipment. It is housed in an aluminium alloy case: 2.5 x 1.4 x 0.88 inches with N-Type (input) to SMA (coupled and output) connectors. Packaging: shipped assembled, bubble-wrapped and secured in a wooden crate.
