A rubber-free, plastics-based hot-melt transfer adhesive is applied to one side of the pad solely to allow attachment to a polypropylene container lid. The adhesive has no moisture-retention function and is protected by a release liner. The material is die-cut into circular pads, typically 25 mm in diameter, and supplied on a continuous release liner wound into reels (approximately 30 mm wide, with a maximum reel diameter of 300 mm). The reels are intended for automated application during the customer’s packaging process. They are packaged in cardboard boxes.
