The Studio Converter is designed to take an Ethernet signal from a camera, and convert it to video to IP and perform the reverse conversion to send a video signal to the camera, by converting it back to an ethernet signal for use with other broadcast video equipment, the IP signals are not video signals until conversion. The Studio Converter allows breakout of all the SDI video, audio and talkback connections at the studio end. The 'Communication function' is the principle function of this device as it uses 'Internet Protocol' signals and the conversion from/to them. A 2.2-inch LCD screen is also, included. It also includes a massive power supply that powers the camera down the Ethernet cable, so you don't even need a power source near the camera, able to power the camera via the Ethernet cable and convert the camera and program return feeds to SDI.
