Valuation scheme 393966 description

The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) groups similar properties together. It gives the group a price range for floor areas and units (such as air conditioning). This helps make rateable values fair and consistent.

Properties in this scheme

The value is applicable to all offices in converted or adapted premises situated in and around Truro. Premises will mainly comprise conversions of pre-1900 built former residential properties but can include any adapted buildings. Reasonable quality is assumed but types will range from reconstructions and recently refurbished to old, unimproved lath and plaster buildings. Excluded are offices above shops, offices of non-traditional construction, good-quality barn conversions (or similar), offices with a net internal area of over 700m2 and blocks of serviced offices separately identified.

Prices in this scheme

Properties in this scheme have a base rate price range from £75.00 to £145.00 per square metre or unit.

The VOA applies a base rate to individual properties in this scheme. This is the per square metre price for the main floor area in the property.

The VOA may adjust the base rate to take into account what an individual property is like.
