Description: Automatic Air Dehydrator which is a device used primarily in the field of telecommunications with the key function being to remove moisture and keep waveguide and coax systems dry. Waveguide consists of hollow metallic tubes that guide microwave signals. Moisture can interfere with signal transmission, leading to loss of efficiency and increased attenuation. Automatic dehydrators adjust their performance based on real-time humidity data. This reduces the need for manual intervention and ensures consistent performance. Air is dehydrated by passing it through a drying canister containing the drying agent. The dried air is delivered to the communications equipment through a connection in the rear panel. The moisture is removed from the drying canisters by heat. The Ethernet communications capabilities within the dehydrator include support for the web interface, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP). It allows for monitoring and configuration of the dehydrator as well as providing a means for upgrading the dehydrator’s software in the field. The dehydrator is housed in a rack mountable, light weight metal chassis, has simple power connections and ethernet, RS-422/485, RS-232 and alarm relay outputs. A front panel with display allows for IP configuration and status monitoring with or without network connection. For shipment, the units are packaged in purpose designed protective packaging material.
