A waveguide run/structure typically comprises several key components, which work together to guide electromagnetic waves effectively. Flanges (made of brass) are used to connect sections of the waveguide securely. They often include gaskets to ensure an airtight seal. Connectors facilitate connections between waveguide segments and other components within the satcom system. Waveguide bends are curved sections that enable changes in direction while maintaining wave propagation and brackets/mounts are used to hold it in place and ensure stability during operation. Loads absorb any excess power at the end of the waveguide to prevent reflections. The couplers allow coupling of power between two waveguides and splitters distribute the signal to multiple outputs while maintaining performance. Attenuators measure and control signal loss within the waveguide. Each component plays a vital role in ensuring efficient wave propagation, minimizing losses, and maintaining the desired performance of the waveguide run.

The unit is a self-contained unit. A mains electric pump, which is provided in the package, will sit in the water within the sump reservoir; it sends the water up through the middle of the feature, through plastic piping. The piping is secured with small jubilee clips on the pump and at the top of the inside of the sphere. The sump reservoir is encased within a mild steel surround. Small slate chippings are provided for decorative purposes to cover the sump reservoir lid. Blanket weed solution 400g is also provided to help keep the water clean when the water feature is set up and running. The water feature package has been boxed up using wood on a pallet.
