The 59% liquid hydrogen peroxide sterilant is a multi-cycle cup that is placed in the sterilizer’s cup interface and the user then closes the sterilizer door to create a vacuum condition. Various pre-programmed cycles can be selected to reflect the type of instruments needed to be sterilized. Each cycle has a specific time period and weight parameter to determine the proper amount of hydrogen peroxide from the VAPROX HC Sterilant cup that should be administered for sterilization. The sterilizer chamber removes the pressure and moisture before increasing the temperature from approximately 50 degrees Celsius to approximately 60 degrees Celsius for the VAPROX HC Sterilant to be emitted in the chamber. Chemical indicator strips are used to confirm that the sterilant penetrated the packs that were to be sterilized. Biological indictors and Tyvek Packaging are used within the unit to confirm sterility parameters have been met.

When compressed between two surfaces (like in an engine or a pipe joint), the gasket material fills any irregularities, creating a tight, leak-proof seal.
