Description: The Field Probe is a handheld broadband, isotropic electric field sensor designed for Radio Frequency and telecommunications applications. It measures electric fields over a frequency range of 3 MHz to 18 GHz, with a measurement range of 0.6 to 800 V/m and a dynamic range of 62.5 DB. The probe uses three orthogonally arranged dipoles with detector diodes. The Broadband Field Meter provides battery power to the probe, calculates the resulting isotropic field strength, and displays measurement results. The meter is primarily designed as a broadband electromagnetic field (EMF) measurement device. Its main function is to record the signal detected by the connected probe, making it ideal for comprehensive field measurements. Operated via a weatherproof foil keypad with just four buttons and a perceptible click point, the meter features a backlit monochrome Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with selectable illumination time, ensuring readings are easy to view even in bright daylight. The meter is housed in a plastic casing. The probe head is made from foam to protect the sensors while maintaining suitable (RF) characteristics. The probe measures approximately 318 mm in length with a 66 mm diameter and weighs 90 g. The probe and meter are supplied as separate components in a protective carrying case in a disassembled state and must be connected on site to form a complete operational measurement system.
