Description: A semi-automated mechanical fish vaccination machine. The machine is used to vaccinate farmed fish using a vaccine supplied by the fish farm. The mechanical device works first with the operator placing each fish at the top of an entry chute, the fish then slides down the chute and is measured by the machine, using a laser eye. This allows the controls of the apparatus to work out where the correct vaccination point is on that fish for the vaccine being delivered. The fish is held in place by a sponge and clamp and the injector injects the correct dose of vaccine into the fish. Then the fish is released from the clamp so it slips down to the bottom channel where it will land in water in the channel to take the fish back to a recovery tank on site. When the machine is in transit or in storage, it is packed using protective foam inserts within flight boxes or crates.
