Description: A 19-inch 100% aluminium (base metal) mount for the console chassis that allows rack-mounted equipment to be fitted within the console chassis. It is used with particular racks and desks (not the subject of this Atar). The 'aluminium', which is the constituent material of the product, gives the essential character to the metal frame. It is a replacement for a metal blanking plate that would normally cover an unused section of the console chassis. The Console Rack Kit is also a metal plate with a large cut-out and rack-mount strip that allows this otherwise unused space on the console to be used to mount shallow rack-mount units.
