The device will communicate with the cameras and the turntable unit over USB serial coordinating camera triggering with turning the motor. The photos can either be kept on the camera or downloaded to a supplied USB drive. The photos are not kept on the device. The device presents the UI to the user upon boot and wi-fi capability has been disabled in the operating system; therefore, the scope of the device is limited. The device is packaged in a heavy-duty plastic case with fitted foam insert and an external carboard outer layer. The package contains, a computer module, a turntable module, a removeable scanning surface, two power supplies, a USB cable, and a USB data-stick.
